Frequently Asked Questions

How to get there?

I highly recommend flying into Agadir Airport (Agadir Al-Massira International Airport) — it's by far the most convenient option, just 40 minutes from Tamraght. You'll land, breeze through, and be at the surf house in no time.

While Marrakech is another option, it’s a much longer 3-hour drive away. If you're flying into Marrakech Airport, please know that airport transfers are not included in your package. Transfers are only included from Agadir Airport

**If you're arriving via Marrakech, you'll need to book your own bus, but no stress — I have a company I highly recommend, and it’s super straightforward. You’ll be departing from Marrakech Airport and arriving in Tamraght at Hey Yallah Café.

What's the payment method?

We ask for a 30% deposit to secure your spot, with the remaining balance due 2 weeks before the trip. You’re free to pay the rest in installments or in one go — whichever feels easiest for you.

Our bank details for the transfer will be included in your booking confirmation email.

What about the cancellation policy?

To secure your place, a 30% deposit is required (non-refundable).

  • If you need to cancel more than 30 days before arrival: Any additional payments will be refunded (minus bank fees).

  • If you cancel less than 30 days before arrival: Unfortunately, the full amount is non-refundable.

We understand that plans can change, but please note that refunds can’t be given for early check-outs or no-shows.

Do I need a certain level of surf & yoga?

Not at all! We welcome everyone — whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to grow your skills. Our focus is simply on getting you out on the water, onto the mat, and having fun. No matter your age, body type, or experience level, you’ll always have a place with us.

Is travel insurance necessary?

Travel insurance is highly recommended for all guests traveling to Morocco. We suggest purchasing coverage at the time of paying your deposit, as this can help protect against cancellation fees or unexpected changes.

Please ensure your insurance policy specifically includes surfing coverage.

Is Morocco a safe destination to travel to?

Absolutely! Morocco is a safe and welcoming destination for all travelers — whether you’re coming solo, with friends, or as part of a group.

Why you’ll feel safe here:

  • Friendly locals who welcome you with a smile (and mint tea!)

  • Low crime rates in tourist areas like Taghazout & Tamraght

  • Tourist-friendly vibe with strong support and infrastructure

  • Positive solo travel experiences, including for women

At Sun Kissed, we’ll make sure you feel comfortable and confident from the moment you arrive.

What is proper clothing to wear in an Islamic country such as Morocco?

In general, Moroccan women cover their shoulders and knees, and sometimes wear a headscarf. You don’t have to, but you may feel more comfortable covering up.

In Tamraght, a small surf town, these rules are relaxed — beachwear and summer clothes are fine.

Outside Tamraght, in the mountains, Berber villages, or the Sahara, modest clothing is advised. We recommend bringing long skirts, dresses, and a scarf to cover up when needed.

Where can I get a local SIM card?

You can simply purchase a local SIM card at the airport. We recommend using Orange as your network. 1GB = £1, we recommened buying 10GB for the week.

Can I use my card in Morocco and what is the currency?

Cash is king here! The currency is the Moroccan Dirham. We recommend exchanging your money at home, or you can bring euros with you (make sure it is EUROS) and exchange it at the airport.

You can still bring your card however there are only a few places in Tamraght/Taghazout that accept card. Locals prefer if you use cash!

Can I come alone?

Absolutely! Most of the girls come solo - it's the perfect trip to meet like-minded people and make real friendships.

What's the vibe like?

Relaxed, soulful, supportive and fun. Think surf, yoga, beach hangs, slow mornings, meaningful chats, and unforgettable sunsets.

What should I pack?

You'll get a full packing list after booking, but think: swimwear, comfy clothes, something warm foe evenings, and a scarf or long skirt for more traditional areas.

When do I meet the other girls?

Four weeks before the trip, we'll all join a WhatsApp group chat! It is the perfect place to start getting to know each other, ask questions, swap packing tips, and build the buzz before we meet in Morocco!
